so far, i feel my wedding planning has been kinda all over the board. one day i'm researching where to buy the cheapest mason jars. then i get side tracked and look into escort cards. then i find myself checking out different arches for the ceremony. uhhhh, can i say, adhd? totally. but i don't care. it's all about checking things off the list, and boy, did i check a whole bunch of things off this never ending list. gooooo me!

met w/ashlee + kelli from sweet t studios this past sunday, and it was a great meeting. i made the trek down to the oc to meet at ashlee's place, and i was happy with all the stuff she had made for our wedding. we brainstromed a few more things that she'll be making for the big day. she made the yarn balls i mentioned before. they looked great. she's going to make a lot more to hang from the pergola behind the dessert/candy bar.

kelli created a whole wedding suite from very little guidance from me, and i was amazed at the things she created. i would post pics, but will wait until the save-the-dates are in the mail. i'm still trying to figure out the actual invitation, but happy that i'm pretty set on the std's. i think they're adorable. but i'm biased.

talked a whole lot about logistics w/connie tonight. sat down w/her for about 2 hours to discuss everything from, "wedding volunteers" to food pick up. she is AMAZING. totally lucked out w/her.

and going w/the adhd theme, here's today's random inspirations. enjoy!

e-session in a mustard flower field? yes, please.

loving this wedding suite.

d will wear one single phaleonopsis orchid bout like this one.

glowing makeup. i like.

d will be making a gazillion planter boxes for the wedding. gotta love a handy guy.
[forgot where i got this. oops.]

and i'll end with a check list of things completed. why? bc crossing things off a to-do is so refreshing.

amazing meeting w/carlos + connie. what can i say? they are the best. we met this past sunday at the garden to talk more about the logistics. today's post will focus on the ceremony.

|| CEREMONY ||
the ceremony will be happening at the lower meadow (i'd post a pic, but erased all the pics that d took). strings ensemble will be near the gazebo. we will be a few yards to the left. rectangular arch w/white linens and flowers will frame d and i.

we will have either white or natural wooden folding padded chairs for the ceremony.

rose petals will line the aisle. flowers in mason jars will be hung on shepherd hooks. the jars pictured are not mason jars. but it's close enough where you can get the idea.

market umbrellas will provide some shade for the guests. best pic i could find. if the market umbrellas are ugly looking, then we might get individual parasols for the guests.

wine barrels will be used for the bar.

i'd be so rich if i got paid a quarter for the number of wedding sites i visit every day. i'd be a millionaire.....

bm dress shopping this past saturday was a success, bc the girls found a dress they all liked. however, the cost to rent each dress was a little more than i had anticipated, but after weighing the pros/cons, i'm leaning towards just paying the extra $100 and check one more huge thing off the to-do list. the dress is a bill levkoff (style 370). probably get it in euro eggplant.

meeting with carlos and the coordinator this sunday at the garden. going to talk about possibly having an open tent with linen drapings. i'm thinking the draping would make the reception look absolutely amazing. goals for this sunday is to discuss 1. the layout of the reception/ceremony, 2. possibly having carlos' wife do all the flower arrangements, 3. cocktail hour.

draping i'm envisioning for the reception.

went to a friend's wedding yesterday, and i must admit, the photobooth is way too much fun. d and i concluded that a pbooth is a must. we're going to try to negotiate a good deal w/cheesy photobooths. found out yesterday that the groom's friend works for cheesy. hopefully he'll give us a friends + family discount. we really liked how big the pbooth was, and the quality of the prints were outstanding.

|| random stuff ||

baby's breath. so simple, clean, girly.

placing stones along the aisle can be mod.

i'm loving this. simple and practical. we could use it to put our keys in there?

a quick update - january will be the month of meetings.

meeting #1 - w/the fab 5 bm's. not really a meeting, but an excuse to get together. started to look for dresses back in december, but came up empty handed. will be going to some bridal shops to see if i could rent dresses. bm dresses have been a lot more stressful than i had imagined it would be. i honestly didn't want to spend too much on the bm dresses, bc i know my girls won't wear them again. so when i got the quote to rent bm dresses ($50), i was sold. it's even more stressful, bc i've been looking for very specific colored dresses, trying to tie it into the wedding palatte. but i've concluded that the color of the bm dresses will dictate my colors for the whole wedding. crazy, i know. but i realized, i'm a very rainbow kinda of person. i love all colors. i just want my girls to find a dress they like, and we'll go from there.

meeting #2 - w/sweet t studios + the coordinator to discuss the wedding suite (invites, escort cards, etc.) and design/styling of the day.

meeting #3 - w/the ever-so-wonderful carlos from elegant events, to start talking about the logistics of the big day. we'll be meeting at the garden, so i'm very much looking forward to it. i love meeting w/carlos, bc he makes me feel so at peace with our wedding. he is so sincere and genuine, that all my worries seem to just disappear after every meeting with him. love him.

and some inspiration i've been dwelling on....

would love to have carn poms along the aisle and move to the pergola on the upper meadow. purty.

or how about some yarn balls?
